商标国际注册是指按照《商标国际注册马德里协定》、《商标国际注册马德里协定有关议定书》由世界知识产权组织国际局所进行的商标注册。申请人到境外申请商标注册主要有两种途径:

一、逐一国家注册，即商标注册申请人分别向各国商标主管机关申请注册；

二、马德里商标国际注册，但马德里商标国际注册仅限于马德里协定及其议定书成员国。马德里国际注册可通过商标局国际注册处办理。
